We thought it would be fun to take the train down to Hartford ($6) and after came back and play and watch the games at the sports bar Tap.
We stayed for our birthday celebration and to go to the NCAA tournament in Hartford. The best part was the restaurant across the street which I will review separately We are in Nee England why would MGM build a hotel with only an outdoor pool? The front desk staff were less than welcoming and at times downright rude but after being told so and much discussion and a manager being made aware it was rectified. Ok the pool is closed because it’s outdoors and it’s march. Carry your bags they the casino to opposite side where you just drove by and that’s the lobby? Why ? Second at check in there was $20 resort fee for use of the outdoor pool and WiFi. When we were trying to find the check in are we drove Arron’s the whole building only to be told go into the garage, pay $28 for valet overnight or self park. There is a small area with stores but only a few.
The hotel is located in an area that has nothing but highway and abandoned buildings around it. Mind you I was not looking for a Vegas hotel just the same quality and treatment associated with MGM. Unfortunately this MGM did not live up to its namesake in Vegas. I am writing this review before I even check out.
